What a jolly afternoon we had today at the Woodley Christmas Extravaganza! Despite the rain making a determined appearance, nothing could dampen our spirits – or our voices. Wrapped up in our sparkly scarves, smiling through the drizzle and surrounded by festive cheer, The Barberettes were absolutely delighted to be part of such a wonderful community event.
There was something especially moving about singing Christmas songs as the rain fell softly around us. The crowd, huddled together under umbrellas and gazebos, along with the familiar sound of festive favourites, created an atmosphere that felt both cosy and uplifting all at once. We were so grateful to everyone who stayed to listen, sang along with us and supported the event, even in the wet weather.
Moments like these remind us why we love what we do. Music has a special way of bringing people together and today was a perfect example of that. Rain or shine, the sense of togetherness in Woodley was truly heart-warming.
A huge thank you to the event organisers for having us, and to all the wonderful Barberettes, who turned up with such positivity and festive spirit. And of course, thank you to everyone who came along to support – it helped make today a really special start to the Christmas season.
We’re heading into the festive period feeling full of cheer, gratitude, and excitement for all the lovely singing still to come!
